Black Swans
Black swans are a native species of swans to Western Australia.
They are usually found around the Burswood Foreshore and other south east & south west regions around WA.
Black swans are coloured black and have red on their beaks.
The early explorers and colonists made many observations about them, including the concern that they could become endangered because they are "delicious when roasted"!
Swans lay eggs around the Burswood foreshore. You may be able to see some, but be careful that you don't tread of any because the swans could be protective of them!
